How to reach a maximum connection rate ?

If you have planned an event supported by an event-driven mobile application, it’s time to show that you made the right choice! To do so, it would first be essential that participants connect to the platform as much as possible. Don’t let the connection rate be a random value as it will play a decisive role in the implementation success.

These are just a few tips that will help you improve your ROI by simply boosting the connection rate. It would be a matter of promoting the application without spamming your participants, beware the line is easily crossed!

1.WEEKS BEFORE: WARN YOUR PARTICIPANTS

First, notify your attendees that an application will be available to accompany the event, weeks before D-day. We recommend using a mailing method to reach a maximum number of people and ensure that the information will be received if sent to a business address. In this first communication, only summarize the main features of your application to demonstrate its usefulness. Nevertheless, do not reveal everything to arouse the participant’s curiosity. Only tell them that they could register through their email address.

2.PRE-EVENT OPENING: REGISTRATIONS & SURVEYS

If you want to open the application before the day of the event to allow registrations for sessions, pre-event surveys, or others, warn your participants in this first communication to ensure they will be ready to register. Inform them about how to log in to the platform and explain to them the functioning of the first open modules.

3.A FEW DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT: INFORM THEM ABOUT THE MEANS OF LOGIN

In case you have not pre-opened your application to participants yet, it would now be a good idea to open the platform a few days before the event to allow the most impatient participants to activate their account. Don’t be afraid to reveal content that you wanted to keep secret until D-day because you can hide the information of your choice as an administrator while leaving free access to the application. This step will allow you to launch the first flow of connections, that of the most interested. Therefore, it will generate a first craze, a first communication with the others which will make the application even more interesting. In this email, specify again that access is given through their email address and that a personal password will have to be created.

4.THE DAY OF THE EVENT: A FINAL REMINDER

That’s it, it’s the big day! From now on, the non-connected are now laggards. Don’t lose their connection or your associated underlying investment because they may simply have forgotten. Communicate one last time to your guests, via email, graphics, digital signage, features and means of connection. You can also rely on your first communications and the word-of-mouth that follows to increase the general connection rate.

5.PHYSICAL VISUAL SUPPORTS

After all the announcements you will have made, it will be difficult for a participant to ignore the existence of an application created for the event. But once again, let’s be vigilant and anticipate all cases: the participant hasn’t had access to his mailbox for weeks! Create visuals and distribute them throughout the space where the event takes place to remind people of the mobile application presence. Videos projected in the lobby or on the screen at the beginning of the plenary session or posters hung on the walls are often used solutions.
